Saddle Up Your Stick Horse, It's St. George's Night

WARREN (WWJ) - Knights and ladies and a whole lot of fun is on tap this weekend in Warren. It's not something you do all the time.

"We dress as knights and ladies, and we do jousting and we have the stocks and we have our meal where no utensils are used, everything is finger food," says Pam Douglas of the Commonwealth Club in Warren.

Douglas is talking about this Saturday's St. George's night.  The jousting, by the way, is done with wooden stick horses and pool noodles instead of swords.

"We get on our little stick horses and there is a boundary in between, we race up and down the boundary and try and hit the other person's hat off with our pool noodle, it's very fun," says Douglas.

"Oh we do the maypole dance, we do the in and out with the ribbons and sometimes we're drunk and sometimes we are not," laughs Douglas.
