The Word Network Breaks Ground On State-Of-The-Art Studio

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - The Word Network will break ground Friday morning as they announce a new state-of-the-art-studio that will be built on the site of the network's world headquarters in Southfield.

The ever popular "Rejoice in the Word" program that airs live every Friday evening will be produced in the new facility.

The multimillion dollar expansion project will create at least fifty new jobs locally.

Grammy nominated Gospel singer Vickie Winans is set to perform at the ground breaking event beginning at 11:30 am.

The Word Network is the largest African-American religious network in the United States and the world. Over the years, they have become the undisputed source for urban ministries and gospel music.

The Word Network is available in over 200 countries reaching millions of people in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. The Word Network reaches nearly 80 million homes in the U.S. alone, another 9 million homes on Sky TV in the U.K. and 5 million homes on Sky Italia.

The Word Network is located at 20733 W. 10 Mile Road in Southfield, on the grounds of WXYZ Channel 7.
