Suspect Fatally Shoots Woman As She Exits Her Home

DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit Police report a woman has been fatally shot at her home in the city.

The incident happened in the 100 block of E. Grand Boulevard around 7:00 Thursday morning.

The 46-year-old was exiting her residence when the suspect approached and fired shots. The victim received a gunshot wound to the body and was fatally wounded. 

Police are looking for a suspect, a black male in his late 20s, 5′- 6″, medium build, dark complexion, scraggly beard and mini afro. The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, work pants, red and blue gym shoes and a Piston’s backpack. He is believed to be armed.
