Soap Opera Fans Plan Protest In Southfield
SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - TV soap opera fans are planning to protest next week in Detroit and across the country against ABC. They're upset over the network's decision to cancel the long running shows "All My Children" and "One Life to Live."
Metro Detroit-area soap fans will take part in the demonstration in front of Channel 7 Studios in Southfield on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until noon.
Protests are also being held at other ABC stations and at Disney studios. They're asking ABC to keep the shows on the air or sell them to another network.
One Life to Live has been on the air since 1968; All My Children, since 1970.
