DETROIT (WWJ) – A Farmington woman is combining her love of blush, lipstick and eye-liner with her passion for the city of Detroit. 

Sheila Hollins-Jackson is one of 25 “YouTubers” who were named winners in the site’s national talent competition.

“Everything just kind of fell together, I did the contest and I’m one of the smaller people on YouTube. There are people who entered the contest that had a lot more subscribers. I was going to go for it anyway, and even if I don’t win, it was a great experience just to be part of the contest. I never expected to be here now,” says Jackson.

Jackson submitted a video to Youtube showcasing her “beauty tips.”  And, she says the video was inspired by Eminem’s Super Bowl commercial

“I loved it (the Eminem Super Bowl Commercial) it really showed the spirit of Detroit, so my video was heavily inspired by that and I just added my own flare, and added places in the city that I love. I think people should see the great parts of Detroit and just added the make-up idea into it,” says Jackson.
