Rave Computer Named Michigan Small Business Government Contractor of the Year

Sterling Heights-based Rave Computer, a leader in providing purpose built computer systems, was named Michigan Small Business Government Contractor of the Year at the Michigan Celebrates Small Business Awards Ceremony held at the Lansing Center in Lansing. Rave Computer was nominated by the Macomb Regional Procurement Technical Assistance Center.

The Michigan Celebrates Small Business event is an annual awards program created by five founding organizations to recognize the importance of successful small businesses across the state of Michigan. MCSB honors those businesses and their supporters who greatly contribute to the overall growth of Michigan's economy.

Event speakers included Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder and Richard Sheridan of Menolo Innovations.

"Speaking on behalf of my partners and the employees at Rave, we are very honored to accept this award," said Rick Darter, CEO and President, Rave Computer. "We take great pride in the technological solutions that we provide in support of the Warfighter. Thank you to the Macomb Regional PTAC for your continued support in helping Rave reach the appropriate people and programs in the Defense Industry."

The 12 Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTAC) of Michigan were each asked to nominate one business from their region for the Small Business Government Contracting Award. The Macomb Regional PTAC has approximately 450 to 500 active clients of which Rave Computer was chosen for the nomination.

"Rave Computer has demonstrated that they are an innovative company focused on providing excellent computer hardware and auxiliary services to the defense industry in support of national security," said Beth Cryderman-Moss, director of the Macomb Regional PTAC.
