--Rookie center Greg Monroe finished a disappointing sixth in the league's Rookie of the Year voting. Monroe finished behind the winner, the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin, as well as Washington's John Wall, Sacramento's DeMarcus Cousins, New York's Landry Fields and San Antonio's Gary Neal. Monroe was the Pistons' best player after the first of the year, when he recorded all of his team-high 21 double-doubles. He finished seventh among rookies in scoring ((9.4 ppg), third in rebounding (7.5 rpg) and second in steals (1.16 spg).

--The Pistons' defensive performance was their worst in a quarter-century. Detroit allowed opponents to shoot a league-high 48.6 percent from the field. Toronto was the next worst at 48.2. The last time Pistons opponents shot that well in a single season was 1985-86, when they made 49.2 percent of their attempts.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"Sometimes people do things that get you out of character." -- Forward Charlie Villanueva on Cleveland center Ryan Hollins. Villanueva's altercation with Hollins in the last home game, and subsequent attempts to confront Hollins in the visitors' locker room, led to Villanueva's five-game suspension.
