9:10pm- The National Anthem has begun

9:12pm- Game 7 is underway

9:15pm- Jimmy Howard comes up with 3 straight saves

9:21pm- San Jose is leading in shots 4-3 with 14:25 remaining in the 1st

9:25pm- Jimmy Howard has 4 saves and Pavel Datsyuk has 2 shots midway through the 1st

9:29pm- Howard makes another big save right before the timeout

9:32pm- San Jose is controlling the puck, things get chippy after the whistle and the 1st penalty of the game goes against Jonathon Ericsson for holding

9:35pm- Setoguchi scores the 1st goal (unassisted) on a wrist shot 12:20 into the 1st. San Jose leads 1-0. Listen to goal below

9:37pm- Red Wings have their 1st power play and look to even things up

9:39pm- Jimmy Howard makes a huge save on a San Jose break-a-way short-handed

9:41pm- San Jose kills the power play, looks like the Red Wings will go on the power play

9:44pm- Detroit is on the power play due to a Vlasic tripping penalty

9:46pm- Niemi has 11 saves with 1:55 left in the 1st

9:48pm- Logan Couture scores for the Sharks they lead 2-0 with a minute left in the 1st. Listen to the goal below

9:51pm- Red Wings trail 2-0 after the first 20 minutes. San Jose leads the Red Wings 17 shots to 11.

10:11pm- 2nd period is underway

10:16pm- Niemi has 15 saves 14:04 to go in the 2nd

10:17pm- Niemi has a big save on Kronwall

10:21pm- “Beat Detroit” is going loud as yet again Niemi makes another save 11:23 remains in the 2nd

10:24pm- Pavel Datsyuk heads to the penalty box 9:15 left in the 2nd

10:30pm- Helm has a good shot on goal and Niemi makes the save

10:31pm- Red Wings kill the Sharks power play

10:31pm- Henrik Zetterberg (assisted by Filppula at 13:10) puts the Red Wings on the board they trail 2-1 2nd. Listen to the goal below

10:33pm- Zetterberg rips one and Niemi comes up with the save

10:37pm- Jiri Hudler runs into Dan Cleary and is laying on the ice

10:39pm- Cleary has left the ice with help from the team doctors, Todd Bertuzzi left the game in the 1st

10:42pm- Wings have controlled the puck the last few minutes

10:47pm- 2nd period has come to an end and the Red Wings trail 2-1. Wings put the pressure on the Sharks with the last 10 shots on goal and lead 28-23 in shots.

11:06pm- The 3rd period has started with the “Beat Detroit” chant and San Jose almost scores on a 2 on 1.

11:08pm- Jimmy Howard makes a good left pad save on Mitchell

11:13pm- Howard comes up with another save with 14:20 left in the 3rd

11:15pm- Too many men on the ice for the Sharks and the Red Wings go on the power play

11:19pm- Red Wings set things up on the power play and Holmstrom gets leveled after the whistle

11:20pm- Refs seem to have their whistle’s glued to their shirt, :55 seconds remain in the Wings power play

11:23pm- The Red Wings are now 0-3 on the power play

11:27pm- Marleau tip-in goal (assisted by Setoguchi, Boyle 12:13 3rd) 3-1 Sharks

11:30pm- Pavel Datsyuk scores on a back hand (Unassisted 13:59) now are down 1 again 3-2. Listen to the goal below

11:32pm- Red Wings go on a power play after a penalty on Mitchell for slashing with 5:03 remaining

11:35pm- Red Wings lead the Sharks in shots 36-30, 1:17 remains on the power play

11:38pm- Howard heads to the bench and Mike Babcock uses his timeout

11:41pm :52 seconds remain

11:42pm- Datsyuk gets a good shot on goal

    the wings have to step up. there’s no way a team up 3 games-0, who lets the other team come back to tie, should win but that’s what’s gonna happen for the sharks if the wings don’t get a grip.

    That’s more like it. The Wings are right back in it. They should win because a true stanley cup contender has to win in theother team’s crib.The wings smell victory.

    3-1. I don’t know. I thought the wings had the mojo. For years they’ve epitomized class and drive,in the tradition of the Montreal Canadiens. I say they have to score in the next five minutes, then pull the goalie for the last 2 minutes to tie. C’mon wings, don’t let the last three wins go for naught.
