Man, Woman Convicted In Cocaine-For-Girl Swap

SAGINAW (AP) - A 68-year-old Saginaw man and a 46-year-old woman have been convicted on charges that the woman allowed the man to have sex with a girl in exchange for cocaine and other drugs.

A Saginaw County jury convicted Johnnie L. Griffin and Angela Blackwell on Thursday of three counts of first-degree and a single count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct against Blackwell's then-9-year-old granddaughter.

The Saginaw News reports the jury also convicted Griffin and Blackwell of separate counts of conspiring to commit both of those crimes and convicted Blackwell of pandering the girl. Police said Griffin assaulted the girl between September and February. He was arrested in Flint in March.

Jurors also convicted Griffin of second-degree criminal sexual conduct stemming from a friend of one of Blackwell's granddaughters, among other charges.
