Detroit History: Segregation's Ticket To Ride

One hundred fifteen years ago, the infamous "Plessy vs. Ferguson" Supreme Court decision made "Separate But Equal" an excuse for generations of racial injustice, thanks to one Detroiter's judicial manifesto.

It would be decades before Henry Billings Brown's reasoning would be invalidated by a different "Brown", the landmark 1954 case that overturned "Plessy".
