The Tigers return home after a 1-4 road trip. A 10 game home stand starting with the Tampa Bay Rays at Comerica Park starts tonight. The young Rays one of the surprises in baseball, despite losing a handful of players to free agency, Joe Maddon's team is 26-21. Phil Coke takes the mound for the Tigers and fresh off a very good outing in Boston, Rays counter with Jeremy Hellickson.

Chicago Bulls Joakim Noah has apologized today for his gay slur that he uttered at a fan last night down in Miami. The Chicago big man says he was caught up in the moment and responded to a Heat fan who was jawing at him behind the Bulls bench. Noah says he does not mean any disrespect toward anybody. The NBA is expected to fine Noah just like they did to the Lakers Kobe Bryant who used the same slur.

For the first time in 14 years Tiger Woods has dropped out of the top 10 in the world golf rankings. Woods is now 12th; Tigers has not won a tournament in 18 months.
