Automakers Give Nod To Military Members With Rebate Offers

DETROIT (WWJ) - The 'big three' automakers are offering rebates for men and women in our military.

Ford is offering a $500 dollar bonus on the lease or purchase of a new Ford or Lincoln. Hybrids are not included.

Chrysler is also offering $500 dollar rebates for active military personnel, reservists, and retirees with 20 years of service. The Dodge Viper is not included in the program.

At General Motors, they're offering anywhere from $400 dollars to two-grand off the price of many models.

GM even has a website devoted to military discounts.

These rebates are above and beyond what the manufacturers currently offer. A perfect way to say thank you to the men and women of this country that go above and beyond the call of duty.
