Grand Ledge Man Dies After Being Swept Into River

LANSING (WWJ) - Lansing authorities say a 60-year-old man has died after being swept into the Grand River while fishing at a park.

Officials say employees of the Lansing Board of Water & Light saw the man wearing fishing waders go underwater and be swept downstream Saturday evening.

Two other men who were fishing pulled the Grand Ledge man from the river.

It's unclear if the man slipped and fell or if he had a medical problem that led to the accident.
