Funeral Arrangements Made For Fallen Detroit Officer

DETROIT (WWJ) - Funeral arrangements have been set for a Detroit police officer who died from injuries he received after being hit by a wrong way driver in Greektown last week.

A public viewing for Officer Charles Armour is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Swanson Funeral Home on McNichols in Detroit, and then again on Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Final rights are planned for Friday, June 17th, at Greater Grace Temple starting at 10 a.m.

Greektown businesses, meanwhile, are raising funds for the officer's family.

Armour died Saturday night --- about a week after police say he was hit by Saddam Hussein Mohsin of New York while he was patrolling the streets.

Police expect more charges to be filed against Mohsin.
