DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit police announce breaks in two murder cases Monday afternoon.
A 17-year-old has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a Wayne State University football player. Quinton King is accused of killing 20-year-old Cortez Smith outside a club on Larned last month.
King will be back in court on June 21.
Police are still looking for another man – Anton Blevins – in the case.
Officials also say they arrested a man named Duane Thomas in a triple murder last week on Orangelawn Street in Detroit. They are still looking for three other men – Roderick and Jamar Gibson and Omar Johnson – in connection with that case.
