FBI Looking To Identify Royal Oak Bank Robber

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) – The FBI is looking to help capture of a bank robbery suspect. Shortly before Noon on Wednesday, officials say an armed man walked inside a Bank of America branch on 13 Mile Road in Royal Oak and asked for money.

“He entered the bank, immediately drawing a handgun, approached the teller window, demanded cash, was given an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot to his getaway vehicle which was a silver Toyota Prius … somebody we’d like to get in custody,” FBI Special Agent Bob Beeckman told WWJ Newsradio 950.

The suspect was described by witnesses as a white male, 5’8″ tall, 150 to 160 lbs, with a goatee and mustache. He was wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt with a Detroit Tigers baseball cap.

Anyone with information about this crime or who recognizes the suspect in the surveillance images above is asked to call the FBI at (313) 965-2323  or the Royal Oak Police Department.
