Hazmat Team Investigates Unidentified Powder At Beaumont Hospital

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - The all clear has been given at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital after employees reported a powdery substance that spilled out of a tissue box

WWJ Newsradio 950 spoke with Beaumont spokesman Brian Bierley who said it happened at the Imaging Center on the hospital complex.

No patients were affected and the hospital continued conducting business as usual.  Bierley said hospital officials believed the substance was most likely harmless, but was investigated as a precaution.

Later, Monday, test results were negative for any harmful substance.
