Pistons To Hire Former Knicks President Dave Checketts

ESPN.com is reporting that the Pistons are getting some help on the basketball side. The report says that new owner Tom Gores has former Knicks President Dave Checketts helping him out and that Checketts is behind the Patrick Ewing for head coach interview. Sources tell 97.1 The Ticket that this consultant agreement is not a long-term one. Checketts headed up the Knicks management structure when the Knicks were built around Ewing.
