BROOKLYN, MI (WWJ) – The Raconteurs, featuring Detroit natives Jack White and Brendan Benson, along with singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow will headline the first-annual MI Fest to be held on the grounds of Michigan International Speedway (MIS).

MI Fest is an annual outdoor music festival that will feature the best of Michigan’s food, industry, art and music. It’s scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 17, 2011.

In addition to The Raconteurs and Sheryl Crow, artists appearing on MI Fest’s two stages include Alto Reed’s AllStars, Bear Lake, Hot Club of Detroit, Jill Jack, Mark Farner (formerly of Grand Funk Railroad), Marnée, Mitch Ryder, The Howling Diablos, The Juliets, The Rockets, The Romantics, Ty Stone & The Truth, Whitey Morgan & The 78s. And if that’s not enough, there are additional acts to be announced!

Tickets for this year’s festival will be available at the early bird price of $59 until July 8. VIP tickets are going for the early bird rate of $99 and $109 after. The general sale begins on July 9 with tickets priced at $79 (no hidden convenience fees). Children 12 and under are free accompanied by a ticketed adult. Organizers say ticket-holders will be allowed re-entry.

Camping spaces are also available for $35-$50.

For more information and/or to get tickets, call 1-800-354-1010 or visit the MIS website.
