Two Detroit Men Plead Guilty To Federal Tax Evasion Charges

DETROIT (WWJ) - Two Detroit-area men plead guilty to federal tax evasion charges.

The U.S. Attorney's office and the IRS say David Cusumano of Plymouth and Henry Nino of Northville admitted to using the services of a Florida-based outfit called "American Rights Litigators/Guiding Light of God Ministries," which advised the men that they were exempt from tax withholding.

Cusumano and Nino paid American Rights Litigators to submit false information to the IRS, evading hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes.

Charges carry a maximum sentence of five years in prison. They'll be sentenced in October.
