Police: Fraser Daycare Worker Admits To Molesting Girls

FRASER (WWJ) - A Fraser man who ran a daycare center out of his Macomb County home could face life in prison for allegedly molesting two young girls, ages 3 and 4, according to police.

Detective Dan Kolke said  64-year-old Stanley Duncan admitted sexually assaulting several young children.

"It's a delicate thing to bring up," said Kolke.  "If they ever suspected something in the past and they just never went anywhere with it, please contact our department.  We want to investigate and hopefully bring some justice for anybody else this may have happened to."

Police think the alleged sexual abuse at the daycare may go back twenty years.

"We believe these last couple ones, because the kids are only three and four-years-old, it was just within the last year that he's been doing that," said Kolke. "They've taken care of other kids in the past.  It may have been years back."

Duncan also ran the unlicensed home daycare with his wife.

"We believe he is the only one that committed the crimes," said Kolke. "There's indication the wife has maybe caught him one time.  We're waiting for the prosecutor to review that to see if we can get charges on her."

Duncan has been arraigned on eight counts of criminal sexual conduct and was jailed on $5 million bond.
