MILFORD (WWJ) – Emergency crews have pulled a man from a small private lake in Milford Township. The 36-year-old Detroit man was under water for more than 30 minutes, according to authorities, but reports said rescuers were trying to resuscitate him.

Police said that at about 4:20 p.m. they responded to a call from the Lakes of Milford subdivision. Witnessed said the man was swimming when he was went under water and couldn’t be found by his friends.

Early Thursday evening, the man was recovered by divers taken to Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, where police said his condition was unknown Thursday evening.

His name has not been released.
