Man Leads Police Chase From Toledo To Detroit
MONROE COUNTY (WWJ) - A Toledo man is in the Monroe County jail this morning after leading police on a multi-mile chase from Toledo to Detroit.
Toledo police say they tried to stop the driver of a pickup for a traffic violation around 4:00 am Tuesday, but the man drove off onto I-75 and crossed into Michigan.
Monroe County Sheriff Deputies picked up the chase around LaPlaisance Road, exit 11. The chase ended in southwest Detroit near I-75 and Springwells, when police boxed in the truck and stopped it. No injuries were reported.
Charges are pending against the driver, whose name has yet to be released.
