FOSTORIA (WWJ/AP) – A Farmington man died over the weekend after falling into a pond in the Thumb area.

Following an eight-hour search, state police located the 28-year-old man’s body Sunday in a small pond at a campground in Fostoria, near the Lapeer- Tuscola County line.

Local reports say the victim had been attending a blues festival, where friends last saw the man late Saturday at the campground. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine cause of death.

Authorities have not released the man’s identity.
