Classic Cars Cruising Gratiot

CLINTON TWP. (WWJ) - The classic cars are cruising Gratiot this afternoon in the annual Cruise. It runs from 14 Mile to Mount Clemens.

All kinds of classic cars crusing Gratiot, Jeff Jackson of Warren has been coming out to this cruise for several years, this year he brought out his 1973 Duster.

"I enjoy all the cars, trucks ... anything with four wheels that moves pretty fast," said Jackson.

It's the first time Penny of Roseville has been to this cruise."I like it, I like watching all the people ... everything," said Penny.

Dave Sjogren of Oxford has five classic cars but left them all at home. He's watching the cruise from his lawn chair.

"I'm working on all of them, (I like this cruise ) because it seems family oriented," said Sjogren.

Dennis Kramer of Leonard brought his bright red 1972 Nova, and he is the original owner. "My dad picked it up from General Motors Tech Center when I was in the service ... after I distroyed it by racing it ... my wife and I decided to redo the whole car," said Kramer.

Some say it's not as busy as that other cruise on Wooward.  The Gratiot Cruise runs until 6 p.m. Sunday.
