Three Degrees Of Pat Caputo 8-11-11
Three reasons the Tigers haven't been able to put away the rest of the American League Central:
1. Jim Leyland's lineup decisions: I like it that Leyland doesn't necessarily manage by the book, but common on, settle on a lineup, and use it most games.
2. Inconsistency from the pitching staff: Seems like just when there seems to be trust earned by Tigers' pitchers not named Justin Verlander or Jose Valverde, they falter. Case in point - Rick Porcello Wednesday night.
3. Miguel Cabrera: His batting average is fine. But he needs to start driving in more runs, especially in the clutch.
