Reward For Info On Brutal Wounding Of Dog

DETROIT (WWJ) - It's a horrific act that has left one Detroit dog fighting for his life.

Porkchop, an 8-month-old Labrador- American Bulldog mix, was seriously wounded by someone brandishing a sword last week on Detroit's East Side.

Michigan Humane Society Spokesman Kevin Hatman says Porkchop has a four-inch gash on his forehead along with multiple slash wounds but it does look like Porkchop will pull through and there could be a happy ending:

"I actually heard that they are looking for a foster home for Porkchop and right now, and we are hoping that everything is going to go well with that and right now  our cruelty investigators are just trying to figure out, exactly what happened," said Hatman.

Hatman says they are offering a $2,500 dollar for information on the crime.
