Chesterfield Twp. Firefighters Working To Contain Apartment Fire

DETROIT (WWJ) – Chesterfield Township firefighters are trying to contain a massive fire at an apartment complex on 23 Mile Road near I-94.

Witnesses say the fire started at one of the four buildings at Georgetown Apartments, but the flames are slowly spreading to another one of the buildings.

Fire crews have been called in from surrounding cities to help put out the flames.

There are reports that the fire started because of a barbecue, but officials have not confirmed this.

No word of any injuries.
