HiredMYway.com, a Detroit-based Web site that uses a recruiter-style model online to solve job board overcrowding, announced that more than $3 million has been invested in the company within the past six months.

Don Foss, chairman of Credit Acceptance Corp. (NASDAQ: CACC), is the most recent investor. Credit Acceptance provides vehicle loans to consumers regardless of their credit history. Offered through a nationwide network of automotive dealer partners, Credit Acceptance provides dealers the ability to deliver credit approvals to consumers within 30 seconds.

“My interest in hiredMYway.com comes from the simplicity of the idea combined with the complexity of execution,” Foss said. “As in my business, all parties benefit. I am investing in this company and the people because we have shared values — a passion for changing people’s lives. HiredMYway.com is the future in hiring.”

Together with Foss’s investment, Rob Nusbaum, president and CEO of Berloni America and Irving Nusbaum, former owner of New York Carpet World, along with the Detroit Venture Partners, have invested more than $3 million.

HiredMYway.com was one of the first portfolio companies of the DVP, backed by regional leaders, Josh Linkner, Dan Gilbert, Brian Hermelin and Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson.

“HiredMYway.com has a fabulous, hands-on investment team committed to the success of hiredMYway.com,” said Matt Mosher, co-founder and CEO of hiredMYway.com. “We are grateful for the support and strategic guidance of such a great group of investors, and we look forward to working with Don, Rob, Irving and the Detroit Venture Partners to continue expanding and building upon what we have already achieved.”

HiredMYway.com is different from other job boards because job seekers can submit their resume into a smaller pool of applicants with the guarantee it will be viewed. Additionally, it eliminates the exorbitant cost employers traditionally pay to post their jobs online, because on hiredMYway.com, companies only pay when they make a hire. Every job on the Web site offers a hiring and referral bonus of up to $4,000 to increase exposure and attract top-notch candidates.
