I'm Feeling Light Headed

Everytime I look at the Central Division standings, I find it almost too good to believe. Just like everyone else, I was waiting for the other shoe to drop after the All-Star game. Then I waited for the August fade, and now in September, it's still early....but there's still no sign of a collapse. It's also too early to start handing out kudos to everyone, but how about the acquisitions by the Tigers this year. Where would the team be without Victor Martinez, or lately, Doug Fister, Delmon Young or even Wilson Betemit?? As for the Tiger MVP's up to this point...Of course, Justin Verlander is on top...and then Victor Martinez, Miguel Cabrera, Jhonny Peralta, and on and on. The point is, everyday there is a new MVP.

In their last go rounds with the White Sox and Indians....I think the Tigers showed their true stripes and which team is the best one in the Central this season. While my father used to say..."there's many a slip tween the cup and the lip" (which means nothing is ever for certain) I'm now thinking about home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
