Detroit Police Arrest Double Homicide Suspect

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit Police have arrested a suspect in a double homicide that left two women dead in late June.

Eddie Smith was arrested Wednesday in Kalamazoo and arraigned Friday on charges including two counts of first degree premeditated murder, felony murder, kidnapping, felon in possession, felony firearm and habitual fourth offense.

On June 21, officers found 20-year-old Shenil Jefferies and 21-year-old Kendra Wolfe dead inside a vacant building. According to police, 31-year-old Smith had driven to Flint to pick up the women to go to a night club in Detroit. At some point an argument occurred, escalating into the fatal shootings of both victims.
