MILFORD (WWJ) – The Woodward Dream Cruise has the antique cars. Well,  this weekend … Milford has vintage campers. More than 120 of the antique campers are out at Camp Dearborn this weekend.

Forrest Bone is with the Tin Can Tourists and has a 1955 Trotwood camper at the event, and says they have some other unique ones.

“One of em is a very rare Curtiss Aerocar from the mid 30’s and then we’ve got a motor home in the 1940’s and an array of very nice Air Streams, Little Scotty’s, and Shasta’s.”

Bone says a lot of the camper interiors are made of birchwood or plywood.  He says campers have come from all over the country for this event. He says they usually have events at the campground a couple of times a year.
