DETROIT (WWJ) – We know that the Detroit Tigers open the playoffs on Friday, but we don’t know yet who the Tigers will be playing or where the series will open.

WWJ Newsradio 950’s Greg Bowman asked Tigers’ second baseman Ramon Santiago how important that home field advantage is to the team.

“I think it’s better for everybody,” Santiago said. “You know, you’ve got your own fans … you’re eating your home cooking, so everything is better about being home.”

“With your friends supporting your and cheering for you, it’s a real advantage,” Santiago said.
