Lansing Firm Adds Cloud-Based Managed Wireless

Lansing-based Center for Business Innovation has partnered with Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Aerohive Networks to provide customers with cloud-based managed wireless systems.

Cloud-based managed wireless systems eliminate the chances for single points of failure. It also eliminates the need for physical wireless controllers, making this a cost-effective wireless solution for any size organization.

"Offering a cloud-based managed wireless solution for our partners is incredible. Regardless of the organization's size, we can provide them with a simplified wireless network; something that is cost effective, cutting edge and secure," said CBI technology director, Douglas Horne. "Given our data center and highly trained Systems and Applications Team, we can monitor and troubleshoot wireless networks all over the state of Michigan and even the United States. There are very few limitations to what this cloud-based managed wireless solution allows us to do."

Managed wireless solutions allow for "high availability and mesh redundancy for mission-critical applications, lower complexity for easier deployment, maintenance, and management, more straightforward migration from first-generation access points and more effective security and policy enforcement" as stated by Aerohive Networks.
