DETROIT (WWJ) - More than 1,000 of Detroit’s brightest and most creative minds, including entrepreneurs, artists, geeks and designers, gathered Wednesday afternoon at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit. The TEDxDetroit conference was organized by Charlie Wollborg of the web marketing firm Connect Detroit.
Wollborg said it’s designed to foster new ideas across many different fields.
“When you bring these thinkers and doers together you bounce off new ideas and new collaborations,” he said.
Wollborg said the conference goes beyond talk.
”I think that anytime you are exposing your head to new ideas it drives innovation back at your office,” said Wollborg. “When you leave with a fire in your belly rekindled and a spring in your step and this fresh focus, you’re able to go out and create new directions.”
The conference is one of more than 500 “Ted” meetings across the country dedicated to Technology, Entertainment and Design.
