Kid Rock Among Fans Caught Up In Tiger Fever
DETROIT (WWJ) - Local Detroit Tigers fans are gearing up for the team's playoff run that begins Friday night in New York.
WWJ CityBeat Reporter Vickie Thomas says just about everyone is getting caught up in Tiger fever, including Kid Rock.
"I don't need to brag on the Tigers, they're already bragging on themselves, doing so good," said Rock. "We're going to be watching tonight."
Kid Rock made the comments Friday morning at Detroit's Cobo Center, where he was honored at the annual Goodfellows Tribute Breakfast for his charitable endeavors.
There, Thomas also caught up with Chris Illitch who said he was headed to New York for the game.
"This team has been a lot of fun to watch. It's a great group of players. They're all very likable guys," Illitch said. "They've all taken on roles, you know, to really contribute to a great team effort. And I think in many ways this team embodies and really represents our city well."
You can hear all the games on 97.1 The Ticket.
