As much as we don’t like to admit it in Detroit, Sidney Crosby continues to be the league’s most popular and beloved player. It seems like Alexander Ovechkin, Steven Stamkos, Jerome Iginla, Ryan Miller and Patrick Kane are in that second tier of players with Henrik Zetterberg Pavel Datsyuk and Nick Lidstrom. Forgive me as I surely have missed your favorite player if he’s not named above.

But how does the popularity work in other countries? Are people watching the NHL in, let’s say Sweden, and if they are who do they love the most?

Watch the Zetterberg video below to find out who fans in his country root for the most. Zetterberg also talks about Crosby and how Sweden and Detroit see eye to eye on “The Kid!”
