WCCCD Hosts E-Cycling Event In Belleville

DETROIT (WWJ) –  Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD) will hold a free recycling event for used electronics in Belleville on Saturday Oct. 22, at the WCCCD Western Campus, 9555 Haggerty Road in Belleville.

Vintage Tech Recyclers staff members and community volunteers will be onsite from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to unload electronics from vehicles.

Local community members and businesses will be able to take advantage of a solution for electronics recycling.

  • Laptops
  • Monitors
  • LCD’s
  • Cell Phones
  • Printers
  • Scanners
  • Modems
  • CD drives
  • Cables
  • Keyboards
  • Mice
  • TV’s
  • VCR’s
  • DVD players
  • Camcorders
  • Cameras
  • Game Players and joysticks
  • Telephones
  • Pagers
  • Answering Machines
  • Typewriters
  • Calculators
  • Fax machines
  • Copiers

Vintage Tech Recycler, an Illinois-based company, will spearhead the collection. In addition to recycling old electronic equipment, Vintage Tech guarantees that all hard drives will be wiped and destroyed using compliant data wiping methods.
