Police Called To Macomb School On Anonymous Tip

MACOMB TWP. (WWJ) – It was a brief scare Wednesday at a school in Macomb Township.

L’anse Creuse High School North was placed on lockdown for about 15 minutes and police were called to the school after an anonymous tip.

A 15-year-old student was questioned about his sketches of explosive devices. Police said the sketches did not contain any specific threat.

A letter posted on the school web site informed parents of the incident, assuring them that “at no time were staff or students endangered.”  Read the letter (.pdf format) –

There was no immediate word of any charges against the student.

Parents with questions about the incident are urged to contact the school’s office.
