CLINTON TWP. (WWJ) - What's hot for Halloween costumes this year?
For kids it's Power Rangers and Harry Potter. For men: zombies, Captain America and the Green Lantern. For women: the usual witches and queens ... but what's up with the sales of all those sleazy outfits?
WWJ Newsradio 950's Roberta Jasina spoke with Walter McNew of Screamers Costumes Superstore in Clinton Township who said he sees it all the time -- nice girls who want to be naughty for Halloween.
"I think it's just they have the opportunity to be something that they normally aren't, and they get to express that sexual side of themselves," said McNew. "So, they do the slutty nurse, the slutty Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, the slutty Alice in Wonderland."
What do psychologists say about these good girls gone bad for Halloween?
"I think if there is an inner slut in someone I suppose, if that's the word you want to use, you'd be seeing it in other areas," said Dr. Tracey Stulberg of the Birmingham Family Therapy Clinic.
"I think Halloween isn't associated with anything except a good time," Stulberg said.
