Police Seek Suspect In Gas Station Hold-Up

TAYLOR (WWJ) - Taylor Police have released video surveillance of a man who robbed a gas station attendant at gunpoint and are asking for the public's help in identifying the man.

Police responded to a hold-up alarm shortly after midnight Wednesday at the Speedway Gas Station at 21943 Ecorse Road.

Witnesses told police a white male, about 40 years old entered the gas station and went to the counter. He pulled a handgun and pointed it directly at the 22-year-old clerk and demanded all the money or she would be shot.

The clerk complied and the armed man fled on foot from the gas station. She was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 40 years old with a thin build, and medium height. He also had a mustache and wore a dark hooded "Michigan" sweatshirt and black pants.
