1 Dead, 1 Injured In Salem Twp. Accident

SALEM TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - One person is dead and another injured after an accident in Salem Township early this Sunday morning.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's office says a 20-year-old South Lyon man was driving on Dixboro Road near Six Mile when he lost control of his car, and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Alcohol, speed, and no seatbelt use are factors in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
