MCWT Sets Dec. 3 Annual Signature Gala

DETROIT -- The Michigan Council of Women in Technology will hold its annual Signature Gala Dec. 3, with proceeds benefiting the MCWT Foundation.

Co-hosted by Ford Group vice president and CIO Nick Smither and MCWT president Donna Cheesebrough, the evening will kick off with a silent auction followed by live music, dinner, cocktails and a live auction.

All proceeds will benefit the MCWT Foundation, our 501(c)3 organization that inspires and supports girls and women entering or continuing in technology fields. So don your favorite gown or tuxedo, enjoy the entertainment and network with all of the decision-makers who support Michigan's technology community.

The event runs from 6 p.m. to midnight at The Henry (formerly Ritz Carlton),         300 Town Center Drive, Dearborn. The cost is $150 per person for members with one guest, and $200 for nonmembers and guests.

Online registration required at www.mcwt.org.

Signature Gala attendees can reserve overnight accommodations at The Henry for a special rate of $105 plus tax. Please contact Carey Pachla for sponsorship opportunities or to contribute an item for the silent auction. For more event information, please contact signaturegala@mcwt.org.

Interested in getting more involved in MCWT? Our events committee has volunteering opportunities available for activities supporting the Dec. 3 MCWT Signature Gala, a popular evening bringing together Michigan's IT leaders.

By volunteering, you'll connect with other members and get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to plan MCWT's most anticipated event of the year.

Available volunteer opportunities:

* Silent auction: With a theme of "My Hometown", this year's silent auction will feature items that showcase cities, communities, culture and nightlife. Contact Bonnie Teegen if you'd like to assist in securing merchandise and services, and organizing the donations.
* Day-of event support: On Dec. 3, the team would like volunteers to greet guests, facilitate registration and auction set-up, and provide support during the silent auction. Discounted event tickets are available to volunteers. Contact Trish Davis if interested.
