Sara's Blog: Nobody Breaks Down The NBA Lockout Like Metta World Peace

The NBA lockout seems never ending.  After over 130 days, each side has stood their ground.  On Thursday, commissioner David Stern laid it all out and essentially told the players that they must choose between playing or decertifying.

The owners gave their final offer, and on Monday or Tuesday the union reps from all 30 teams will meet to decide if they want to put this offer to the entire membership for a vote.

If all goes well, there could be a 72 game season.  That will be music to the ears of at least one player... Metta World Peace (Ron Artest).  Metta took to Twitter recently and listed all the reasons he misses the NBA.  MWP breaks it down like this:

- "I miss the LA Times telling me how sucky I am.  That's the best.  End the lock out."

- "I miss Jeff Van Gundy.  The Malcom X of announcers."

- "I miss the fans having a cold one and talking to me with dragon breath."

- "I miss the dance teams cheering because they have to, not necessarily because they want to."

- "I miss Philly, Detroit and Boston fans.  They craziest fans in the NBA.  I be scared man!"

- "I miss the refs running down the court like they have hot tamales in their pants."

- "I miss my championship ring I gave away.  Ron Artest Jr. is a dumb ass.  That's why I changed my name."

Thanks for the shout out, Metta.  Hopefully the league will get back to basketball starting December 15.
