Lions Make Changes Before Bears Game

ALLEN PARK (AP) - The Detroit Lions have signed punter Robert Malone and placed offensive tackle Jason Fox on injured reserve.

Malone was added to the roster Friday because Ryan Donahue is questionable to play at Chicago because of a right quadriceps injury. Donahue might be active and used only as a holder on extra points and field goals Sunday against the Bears.

Fox had a knee injury in Thursday's practice. He didn't play in a game this season.

Malone was in 12 games last year with Tampa Bay.

Lions kicker Jason Hanson is listed as probable after cutting his left knee during the team's bye week. Running back Jahvid Best has been ruled out and will miss his third game because of a concussion.

Meanwhile the Chicago Bears are approaching Sunday's showdown with the Detroit Lions uncertain over the status of at least one of their stars.

Wide receiver Devin Hester missed his third straight practice Friday due to an ankle sprain and has been listed as questionable on the injury report.
