DETROIT (WWJ) – Multi-platinum R&B group New Edition will be celebrating New Year’s Eve in Detroit. All six original members will join in the celebration at the Fox Theatre, and that includes Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, Ralph Tresvant, Michael Bivins, Ricky Bell and Ronnie DeVoe. Oh, what memories they will undoubtedly bring with them.

Speaking of memories, New Edition released their debut album Candy Girl in 1983. That album produced three No. 1 hits and solidified them as a teen pop phenomenon. Over the years since, New Edition has released 10 albums and sold over 40 million records worldwide. Remember “Candy Girl”, “Cool It Now”, “Mr. Telephone Man”, and “If It Isn’t Love”?

Tickets to the New Year’s Eve extravaganza are priced at $49, $79, $99 and $150. They are on sale now and can be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, The Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge), at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com. To charge tickets by phone, call (800) 745-3000. For additional information, call (313) 471-6611.
