Another Firing In Wayne County Government
DETROIT (WWJ) - There's another job opening in Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano's administration. Sharon Mattic, an accountant allegedly involved in kickback allegations, has been fired.
That's according to Press Secretary Brooke Blackwell, speaking to WWJ Newsradio 950 Tursday evening.
Mattic worked accountant with Wayne County HealthChoice, has been let go. The program offers low-cost health insurance.
According to Blackwell, the county made payments to companies that had no county contracts, but were registered to a friend of HealthChoice's director, Michael Grundy. Grundy was also fired earlier this month.
