DETROIT (WWJ) – Professional basketball players Jordan Crawford — from Detroit’s Renaissance and CMA high schools — and Manny Harris — from Redford High School and the University of Michigan — will host “United We Ball,” a pro basketball exhibition game at Cass Tech High School in downtown Detroit.

The game will take place on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011. Tipoff is set for 4pm.

Players scheduled to play in the exhibition game include:

Jordan Crawford (Washington, D.C.
Manny Harris (Cleveland)
Will Bynum (Detroit)
John Wall (Washington, D.C.)
Jamal Crawford (Atlanta)
Josh Howard (Washington, D.C.)
Isaiah Thomas (1st round draft pick from the University of Washington)
Jeff Teague (Atlanta)
Paul George (Indiana)
Dorell Wright (Golden State)

More players still to be named.

The United We Ball basketball game will benefit young people throughout the metro Detroit area through a number of schools and organizations, including the Cass Tech High School Athletic Department, The Family AAU basketball team, and the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, among others.

Organizers say this history-in-the-making basketball game will be the first game featuring professional basketball players in the city of Detroit since the 1984 NBA playoff matchup between Isiah Thomas and Bernard King.

More information and tickets to the United We Ball basketball game are available on Neptix.
