Daugher Of Dollar Store Murder Victim: "I Just Want That Justice For My Father"

FERNDALE (WWJ) - One year ago Saturday ... shots rang out at a Ferndale dollar store, leaving the owner dead.  As WWJ's Sandra McNeill reports, the family has not given up hope on finding Karim Khamarko's killer.

Khamarko's daughter Candace says the death of her father has left a hole in the family that can never be filled.

"My nephews ... they are going to grow up not even really remembering their grandfather and catching this person will just give me the piece of mind ... that knowing the person that did this - who took my family - took my dad - is being punished for what he did," said Candace.

"I just want that justice for my father because we love him and he didn't deserve for this to happen to him. I made that promise to my dad - at the burial - that I would never give until justice is served for my dad. Never. I'll never stop fighting for my dad."

Candace believes someone knows something about the killing on Black Friday last year at Dollar Club Plus.

She's holding a vigil at the store Saturday night and has raised $20,000 for a reward.
