Wings Beat Bruins In Shootout 3-2

BOSTON (WWJ/AP) - The Detroit Red Wings beat the defending Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins in a shootout 3-2 on Friday afternoon.

As heard on 97.1 The Ticket - the Red Wings snap the 10-game win streak of the Bruins with an impressive victory on the road.

Pavel Datsyuk and Todd Bertuzzi scored in the shootout for the Red Wings -Nathan Horton scored the lone shootout goal for the Bruins, who hadn't

lost since a 4-2 setback in Montreal on Oct. 29.

Jimmy Howard stopped 41 shots in regulation for Detroit. Boston's Tuukka Rask had 29 saves but gave up two goals in three shootout chances.

After Horton scored on Boston's third chance, Bertuzzi started wide, cut in and lifted a shot over Rask for the winner.

Daniel Paille and Patrice Bergeron had Boston's regulation goals.

The Red Wings take on Nashville at home Saturday.
